Quick Mothers Oats by The Quaker Oats Company

In 1911, Quaker acquired Mother's Oats which had a strong regional presence on the east coast and in the Rocky Mountains. Based on the fact that This box says "The Quaker Oats Company" it has to be post 1911.

Another neat feature of this box is the fact that "Char Coal" is written in 2 places on the box. There's actual black residue still in the box which tells me (don't have to be Sherlock here) that it was used to store charcoal. So many times, when times were tough, people would utilize items in multiple ways as a way to save money and stretch that dime. They were the original upcyclers.

The box has patina and some damage but has that perfect historical look and the handwriting of "charcoal" is just really cool too!

The box is 7.25" tall and just under 4.25" across.
