Massive W. Richards of London Fine Twist Double Barrel 8 Gauge Shotgun (mfd 1903-1913) Damascus Barrels Double Trigger. Top level spring replaced otherwise original and in family for over 100 years. Hard to find 8 gauges. This gun is just short of 15 pounds and is 53.5 inches long. The barrel is 36 inches long. Over all in good condition. Metal is not rusting, barrel is still reflective. Gun was oiled and maintained but never shot for the last 50 years at least. There is a chip out of the bottom of stock near the butt plate. Wood is still nice with no cracks, finish is still deep, glossy with good color. Metal has some decorative carving but nothing ornate. On the vent between the barrels it is stamped W. Richards London Fine Twist. Difficult to find info on these guns. This is mostly likely not a Westley Richards made shotgun but a spin off from the time.
