1996 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4. I bought this atv sight unseen from someone in Minnesota and had it delivered and its in rougher shape than I was expecting. Minnesota doesnt have titles for ATVs and this atv doesnt have a Reg. card. One vin number is incomplete and the other has been rubbed off by the seat. Im unable to locate the last owner to get a Bill of sale.

I called state radio, Minnesota DNR, ND game and fish and theres nothing they can do about the title or worn off vin tags. I have replaced the seat and battery. I ordered a U-joint kit for the front drive shaft that will come with it if I haven't installed them yet. I installed a new starter but it wont engage the flywheel so pull start only. The machine runs, drives and stops. It starts on the first pull of the pull rope. Its missing body tabs and some bolts. It has scuffs and its a little bit worn. It has a winch and a V plow the plow is rusted and doesn't V anymore but it does go up and down. The lights dont work. State radio declined to investigate the atv and said it can be ridden on private property. I will sell it at a loss because I need something that I can license and insure. I paid $1800 for it seat, starter, battery and u-joint kit were $400. Looking to get $1500 for it. Tach says 1500 miles but it doesn't work so milage is not accurate.

Its a running driving 4x4 atv with a plow with no title.
