Condition - good / glazing overall starting / upper rim chip (zoom in on the photos - noticeable from the top)

Dimensions - about 8.5" tall by 3.5" at the base and 5.5" at the top

Colors - darker evergreen w/ lighter green, wine to mauve with hints of orange and cream accents

Uses - decor only

Background - The beginnings of pottery production in St. Clement dates back to 1758, when Jacques Chambrette, who already had one factory in Luneville, opened a second one. In 1892, the still operating plant was bought by Keller and Guerin, who also already owned a factory in nearby Luneville. Under their leadership, the factory was significantly expanded. In 1922, the plants in both towns were taken over by the new owner

The vase is beautiful and elegant in the high Belle Epoque style with a green background and dark reddish pink poppy flowers and lush green leaves. The flowers have some raised details in the pottery which add to the beauty of the piece. It is marked on the bottom "ST.
