100 black angus coming 2nd calvers. Start calving April 15. We source most of our heifers from same ranches every year. Most of these heifers originate out of eastern Montana. We sold our calves 15 of November and had a load of steers weigh 565 with no creep or implants. Half of the steers in that load were out of these heifers. We've calved out hundreds of bred heifers in last 25 years. This is the most complete set of black heifers we've ever had on our place. These cows have disposition, milk, mothering ability, and growth. They are also very efficient. We don't feed silage or grain to our cows or heifers. The genetics to the majority of these cows goes back to Stevenson, Basin, and Connealy. We cull hard for disposition, feet, and udders. These cows are bred to high powered Simmental AngusX half brother 2 y/o bulls. We will be selling these cows at Herreid Livestock Market on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025.

Pictures on grass was August 8, 2024.
