Smith & Wesson 41 Heavy Barrel

March of 1984 is when a three letter prefix was standardized for the 41, so if the serial number on this one is TA0 (T-A-Zero) then it was probably made prior to 1984; if the serial number on this one is TAO (T-A- letter O), then it was probably made 1985-1986. I haven't sent away for a letter from S&W so I can't say 100% when exactly it was produced. What I can tell you is that it is in great condition, with the bluing wearing thin in a couple places on the slide. This is exactly how my dad purchased it new decades ago.
