This was a reliability project in which a physical/mechanical delete of the AFM/DOD parts and replaced with reliable non-AFM/DOD parts. 5.3L engine has been rebuilt to delete the AFM/DOD that has been a problem for GM engines since 2007. The factory lifters on the cylinders that shut down under the AFM/DOD are prone to failure. The ECM has also been tuned to delete the AFM/DOD. Over $3400 in parts and ECM tune.
A rebuilt transmission was also put in prior that cost $4500.
Prices on the engine build do not include the extensive labor.
Engine oil & filter was changed at 50 mile mark after the build and long road trip done to make sure it is good to go. I have more pics of the engine build if you want to see them. I stand behind my work.
I took the vehicle on with intent to sell it. This is what a pickup truck should be. Do the research and you will see it is a deal.
