As a Systems Analyst, you provide support, analysis, and development activities for large applications within MDU Resources Group, Inc. This position acts as an engaged and effective partner for our end users. Candidates should be able to provide analysis, requirement gathering, design, development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of complex and diverse applications, systems, and processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Systems Analyst I: ($60,320 - $75,400)
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent and;
Two years of professional experience that includes relevant development tools and business analysis review in areas of system design and application development.
Systems Analyst II: ($69,380 - $86,730)
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent and;
Four years of Information Technology experience with proven record of increasing work responsibility, effective analysis and project management.
Systems Analyst, Sr: ($79,760 - $99,700)
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent and;
Six years of Information Technology experience with proven record of increasing work responsibility, effective analysis and project management. Requires leadership, independent judgement and creative thinking
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
This position is located in Bismarck, ND or Boise, ID but may consider a remote work location in the
United States where MDU Resources is authorized to do business.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
May be required to participate in an on-call rotation.
May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.
KEY SKILLS
Experience supporting and developing for an ERP system (e.g., Oracle JD Edwards, UKG Pro, Workday, ADP, PowerPlan).
Experience with Report writing applications (e.g., Cognos BI, Bottomline Transform, Oracle BI Publisher, ReportsNow, Spreadsheet Server).
Proficient in SQL.
Proficient in programming in the following languages: HTML, C++, PowerBuilder, XML.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently with clients and consultants on traditional maintenance and enhancement tasks and/or as part of a team of developers on major projects.
Review, analyze, evaluate, and document requested modification to existing and new business processes and system applications. Assist senior staff members or project leads in the study of feasibility and cost effectiveness of proposed enhancements.
Provides production support to address application errors encountered during processing. Such support may require on-call duties extending beyond normal business hours. On-call duties are shared with other team members on a rotating basis as determined by the manager.
Participates in software development activities as well as guides activities of other staff members; develops test plans, test data and documentation. Performs required testing to ensure the system functions in accordance with the business requirements established by the user.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
